A short detour that runs along the bottom of Lake Ohau, down where the weir meets the hydro gates and canal. Not a long drive, but a nice one to tack on if you're passing through.

There are a few little spots where you can shoot down to the water's edge and pull over for a look. Good views out over the lake and the surrounding country.

Worth the side trip if you've got the time.
